For those who may not know already, "Diana" was originally published in 2 parts: "There was a Fair Maid Dwelling" (1960) and "The Unjust Skies" (1962). The two parts were published together under the title "Diana" in 1979. Does anyone know the original publishers of each of the titles?

According to my Coronet paperback dated 1980, it credits There was a Fair Maid Dwelling and the Unjust Skies as being first published by Hodder and Stoughton Limited 1960/62.

I've got a hard cover copy of the novel, published in 1960 in the USA by G.P. Putnam's Sons. It is called 'Diana'. It is the first part of the story, 'There was a fair Maid dwelling' and it was apparently published as 'Diana'. 'The unjust skies' wasn't published until 1962.

Thanks Fred! That is very interesting. I never realized the Diana title had been used before 1979.
